Vintage Collectible 1940's Madame Alexander Dolls

The 1940s brought more dolls based on celebrities such as Sonja Henie; the Portrait Series, a line of elaborately costumed dolls that are still popular today; a doll on Margaret O'Brien, who was a popular child actress of the time. This became known as the "Margaret" face and was produced in a new medium-plastic. Other dolls from the 1940's: Fairy Queen, Carmen Miranda, Fairy Princess, Jeannie Walker, Special Girl, and Sleeping Beauty.
